OTHER MAP FUNCTIONS
CENTER CROSS: This function is used to place a red cross in the center of the map. On the bottom left part of the window, it shows the exact location of the red cross, for reference.
MAP INTERACTIVE FUNCTIONS-OFF: It is used to turn off other interactive map functions, such as distance or new outlet. It should always be on OFF except when using the other functions. MAP INTERACTIVE FUNCTIONS-NEW OUTLET: This function allows you to create a new site using a tactic. It brings the following menu. It will either save the new outlet to a new tactic or an already existing one. Please refer to TACTIC-CREATING A NEW OUTLET section on page 17 for more details. MAP INTERACTIVE FUNCTIONS-LOCATION INFO: It is used to present the location of the current point. Use the left click to display the box that will state the city and country. MAP INTERACTIVE FUNCTIONS-DISTANCE: This function measures the direct distance between 2 or more points. After selecting distance, select a point in the map by right clicking. A small white square will appear where you just clicked.
After another point is selected and right clicked, the red line will appear showing a connection between the 2 points. Additional right clicks will show the distance between more points, and the total distance is displayed on the bottom. To clear distance, go to the “Clear” tab, and then select “Clear Distance”. OTHER-LAYER CONTROL: It is used to control what will appear on the map. Each of the different types of objects are stored in a different layer. The checkboxes indicate which ones are currently visible. The # Items column indicates how many objects are in the map of that kind. Traffic: Shows how many vehicles have passed by the point shown. Demographics: Shows the population at that point Objects square: Displays a dotted square and the station name around each outlet. Object Poi: Shows the location of each outlet and displays its name when the mouse is over it. Markers: Show the brand logos for each outlet. |
